Leading change through purpose and evidence

Home

Welcome

Housing should be the foundation of opportunity yet across the UK, it has become one of the sharpest drivers of inequality. I created this platform because I believe in speaking plainly about what many leaders already know: the housing crisis is not an accident, nor is it inevitable. It is the result of systems that prioritise crisis over prevention, process over people, and short-term action over long-term stability.

My work is dedicated to changing that.

For 20 years, I have worked inside local government, leading large, complex services that support households at their most vulnerable moments. Through that experience, I have learned that real change comes when leaders embrace honesty, data, and courage in equal measure. This is the lens through which I approach every conversation about homelessness, poverty, economic security, and the future of public services.

This website is the home of my thinking, my leadership voice, and my commitment to reshaping the national conversation on housing.

Leading Housing Solutions with Vision and Impact

Explore Amma Antwi-Yeboah’s dedication to transforming housing as vital infrastructure, guiding sustainable change through expert leadership and a commitment to social equity.

About My Work

I lead Housing Solutions services across multiple areas, overseeing homelessness, temporary accommodation, private sector housing, disabled facilities grants, rough sleeping, and lettings. I manage a system of housing professionals, and every day I see both the limitations and the possibilities within our current structures.

What sets my work apart is not just operational leadership it is the way I translate frontline experience into strategic insight. I focus on identifying the gaps between policy intention and policy impact, highlighting the economic and social costs of reactive systems, and proposing solutions that place people and value at the centre.

My thinking is guided by three principles:

1. Prevention Is Not Optional

The UK pours millions into crisis responses that solve nothing. A prevention first system is more cost-effective, more humane, and more sustainable. I argue this openly because it is the only direction that makes sense for our communities and our budgets.

2. Data Must Drive Decisions

Better evidence leads to better outcomes. I advocate for analytical clarity, real-time intelligence, and decision-making that moves beyond anecdote or political convenience.

3. Dignity Belongs at the Heart of Public Service

Housing systems must treat people as people not as cases, numbers, or problems to solve. This principle is often ignored, but it remains the most important foundation for meaningful reform.

Thought Leadership

My platform, Ebanomics, represents the intersection of housing, economics, and justice—the areas where I believe real change must occur. Through this work, I examine why prevention is often undervalued, how poverty interacts with housing instability, and what system redesign would look like if we had the courage to start again.

I write, speak, and consult on:

  • Homelessness prevention
  • Housing system reform
  • Local government transformation
  • Economic drivers of poverty and inequality
  • Data-led service redesign
  • Leadership in complex public systems

My perspective is unapologetically clear: the UK will not fix its housing crisis with half-measures, short-term pilots, or reactive interventions. We need structural change, preventative investment, and leadership that is willing to step into uncomfortable truth.

I speak with certainty because I have seen the consequences of inaction and I know that the solutions are within reach.

My Vision

I believe in a future where:

  • Councils lead with intelligence, not fear.
  • Poverty is challenged at its root, not managed at its symptoms.
  • Housing policy is designed with economic logic and human dignity in mind.
  • Prevention is funded properly because it saves both lives and money.
  • People working in the sector are equipped with the confidence, courage, and clarity to drive reform.

This is not idealism it is a blueprint for a more sustainable and fair housing system.
